Her commitment to young people is personal. After losing her mother at fourteen, Caroline took on responsibility for her younger siblings. She went on to mentor young people, some of whom she remains in touch with as they build careers in medicine and other professions. Caroline trained as a registered mental health nurse and worked in the NHS in child and adolescent mental health and with children in care. That clinical experience continues to inform how she leads care businesses and how she develops the people who deliver those services.
